A tradition in tunnelling

Mott MacDonald’s origins are rooted in tunnelling, dating back to our founders’ involvement in the development of London’s underground road and rail systems more than 100 years ago – an association which still continues today – and a testimony to the quality of our work.

From the smallest to the largest, most complex projects, all tunnels have their challenges. Mott MacDonald has always met these by combining knowledge of the ground with design and construction technologies suited to the job. Following these simple guidelines, we have delivered some of the most challenging tunnelling projects ever undertaken.
