complement the building’s novel architecture

Service to customers
We work in partnership with all our customers, ensuring through our
commitment to continuous improvement and the highest level of
customer care that we add maximum value on every assignment and
exceed their expectations, not merely satisfy their needs.
In Malaysia we were independent checking engineer
for Kuala Lumpur's new monorail – the first rapid transit system
using monorail technology of any significant length to be built
outside Japan Around the world we serve national and local
governments, industry, utilities, transport authorities, commercial
companies, developers, contractors, banks, funding agencies and
non-government organisations.
We take pride in every commission, no matter the size. Our
reputation for top quality service applies whether we’re helping to
restructure a national industry, plan a $multi-million transport
network, deliver healthcare management training, introduce new
business practices or restore a wildlife habitat.
Expertise
The immense scope of our business demands a huge variety of
expertise, which we’re able to provide in house. Adding to our
capabilities in all mainstream technical and management
disciplines, we’re skilled in specialist fields as diverse as
ergonomics, telematics, information management, cost consultancy,
corporate governance, nuclear engineering and organisational
reform. Our global resources and depth of experience also mean
we’re ideally equipped to meet the changing demands of public
private partnerships, PFI and DBFO projects, full privatisation or
asset transfers.
Track record
We’ve made our mark on some of the greatest engineering feats in
the last 100 years – from London’s underground railway in the early
1900s and Egypt’s Aswan Dam heightening in the 1920s to the Channel
Tunnel and Hong Kong’s new airport in the 1990s. We’ve also helped
provide over 100 000 MW of private sector power capacity world-wide
and new water supplies for vast cities such as Shanghai and
Karachi.
Our role on Bangladesh's ‘Strengthening Health and
Population for the Less Advantaged’ reform programme is one of many
ways in which our technical and management expertise is helping
improve healthcare in low and middle income countries Today
we’re contributing to an even greater spectrum of development
around the globe. Just the briefest cross-section ranges from urban
regeneration in the UK, transport systems in Taiwan and river basin
management in central Asia to healthcare initiatives in India and
Africa, education planning in China and environmental capacity
building in Romania.
People
Our success is fuelled by the dedication, enthusiasm and ingenuity
of our engineers, environmentalists, planners, economists, cost
consultants, project managers, safety experts, IT specialists,
educationalists, healthcare advisors, management consultants and
more. Our staff include professionals recognised as innovators or
world authorities in their fields and we’re often asked to take
part in high level missions to developing countries where we’ve
helped shape national policies in various sectors. We also make
staff available to voluntary organisations such as RedR, Engineers
for Disaster Relief.
